Lakeland fell climbing Holiday May 2017

Great Gable from Green gable summit

A Great 3 day visit up to Cumbria where we climbed some iconic fells - Great Gable, Green Gable, Grey Knotts, Brandreth & Blencathra. The weather was also kind to us with just a few gales on the top. We also managed to get a couple of National Trust properties in as well .

Elmley Castle walk. 10.5 hard miles

Untitled

Another walk just inside the Cotswolds starting from the small village of Elmley Castle in the county of Worcestershire. The walk was around and to the summit of Bredon Hill and for views turned out to be one of the best walks we have done. You will see rolling countryside and also views for miles covering the Malvern Hills

Richmond to Hampton Court 8.5 Miles April 2017

Untitled

Walk number 5 down the river Thames and nearly 50miles done, however a long way to go yet !. Another section of the River Thames walked on the first day of April. We drove down to Hampton court station and parked the car up for the day for £6 - on a Sunday you can park for just £2. We found the easiest way to get to Richmond the start of the walk was by public transport, just take the train to Clapham Junction then change trains to Richmond using South West trains cost about £4 on the Oyster card.

Barmouth Wales holiday 3rd March 2017

Untitled

We had planned this journey into North Wales with short notice but wanted to get some walking done around the town we were staying at Barmouth. A few nights booked in a great B&B called Lawrenny lodge that sits in a great place overlooking the Estuary . The town sits south of Snowdonia National park with the River Mawddach Estuary flowing into Cardigan Bay.
