Ennerdale Water resting place of Harry Bethwaite.

This page is dedicated to Gail's dad who passed away last August. It was his passion for the Lake District that inspired us to visit, and to fall in love with the place. Harry's ashes were laid to rest on the banks of Ennerdale Water 28th May 2012
Mitch & Gail.
We had some family commitments that are described above. The weather and tranquility of Ennerdale water that day were some of the best we have experienced in the lakes to date. It was this weather that made us decide to climb Scafell pike, the highest point in England, then onto the peak of Lingmell. Another day took us to the tops of the High Stile range in Buttermere & Crummock water, again the weather was out of this world. Visits to Keswick, Coniston water, and Grasmere, with a few pints of local brew made it a good week. We will be back to the lakes very soon, we hope.
