Robinson Fell

This was the last fell to walk to complete Book 6 The North Western fells by A Wainwright, all we had to do was to reach the summit as fast as possible. We parked at Newlines Hause where if you get there early enough you will find ample parking and its free WainWright says in his book its about 1400ft of ascent and overall the fell stands at 2417ft so parking at Newlines Hause saves you a lot of climbing. You work your way around Moss Force waterfall, an impressive Force and you will note a separate little track up towards it if you require a closer look. As we leave High Snockrigg you will soon find the problem of this walk, bogs! The area if full of bog around Buttermere Moss , you cannot escape it so just make the best away round you can however prepare to get your feet wet. The last leg of the walk starts to get a little steep however nothing to bad but you will hit the scree and it makes for slippy work in the wet. Summit views again are impressive overlooking Buttermere and Crummock water - with ridge routes to either Hindscarth or to Dale head you could even go right around to the Cat Bells and into Keswick if you so wish.
